Created circa 2003, The Red Day project is an explorative minimal art piece for mobile devices. The art piece is visually ever changing and also serves as a functional time piece. By using bars of red, varying hues and transparency, the piece dynamically changes according to the time of day. People can quickly look at the art piece and learn to approximate the time of day by glancing at the colors.
The piece was created in Adobe Flash/Flashlite for Series 60 devices and pocketpc devices.
